Jessica Alcala is a student affairs practitioner committed to creating inclusive, student-centered environments where students feel supported in their academic, personal, and professional journeys. Her work focuses on community building, identity-conscious and holistic student support, with particular care for first-generation and historically marginalized students. She previously served as Assistant Director of Student Engagement at Dominican University of California, where she led campus engagement initiatives and strengthened opportunities for student leadership and belonging.
Jessica is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education in International and Multicultural Education at the University of San Francisco and holds a Master of Education in Counseling-Student Affairs from Northern Arizona University. Outside of her professional work, Jessica is a dog mom who enjoys crafting and spending quality time with family.
